A Florida Republican politician, who just days ago filed a bill that is incredibly harsh on pornography, is apparently quite the fan of the very thing he wants to crack down on.

State Rep. Ross Spano recently introduced bill HR 157, which says that pornography promotes kids developing "low self-esteem, … eating disorder[s] and a desire to engage in dangerous sexual behavior." The bill goes on to claim that porn is responsible for hyper-sexualizing young people because it serves as their "main source of education regarding human sexuality."

"Recent research indicates that pornography is potentially biologically addictive, resulting in the user consuming increasingly more shocking material to satisfy the addiction," the bill says. "Pornography has a detrimental effect on families and is linked to a reluctance to enter into marriage, dissatisfaction in marriage and marital infidelity."

Spano's thoughts on porn are certainly debatable, and there's not much research to back it up. However, it seems he has at least some first-hand knowledge on smut.

As first discovered by Orlando Weekly, Spano "favorited" a tweet on Jan. 8 from a Twitter account called "Goddess Lesbian," which features a whole bunch of lesbian sex clips.

The clip liked by Spano is a 17-second video of two women engaging in mutual oral sex, among other things.

Responding to a comment request from Orlando Weekly, Spano predictably denied responsibility.

"With a thorough examination of my accounts, it will be easy to see that this is not my doing. I have since gone back, once notified, and rectified the problem. And I’m now looking into how it occurred in the first place," he responded in part.

Ted Cruz was the subject of a similar gaff a couple of weeks ago; he blamed a staffer for liking the porn tweet.
