In an interview with HipHopDX, legendary West Coast rapper/producer DJ Quik revealed that a joint project between himself and Houston legend Scarface is on the horizon. Quik stated that he and 'Face have been recording during the "Their The Live Experience" tour and that what is most likely to come from the twosome is an EP. “I think an EP first. Because, you know, my ADD won’t let me do a whole album no more. Scarface and I, we’re working on an EP actually. We’re actually recording every show that we do into Pro Tools, all stemmed out,”
Quik went onto say that “We’re gonna listen back to it. [We’ll] see how we feel about it after the tour is done. In the mean time, in the interim, we’re writing lyrics and making music on the bus. It just makes sense for this to be an EP. Not to just sell – like ‘Oooh’ let’s put a record out, but it’s to congeal this whole experience and give it to people."
Scarface heaped praise on the producer claiming, “In my opinion, I think Quik is the best f-cking mixer, producer-engineer.”
