A teen in Ontario is facing criminal charges after taking the microphone and playing XXXTentacion's "Look At Me!" for a church congregation.

Some members of the congregation at St. Eugene Mazenod Church in the city of Brampton were brought to tears after the 16-year-old boy approached the altar during a service last Wednesday and played XXXTentacion's hit song from a cell phone into the microphone.

"To the people attending, all they heard were profanities blaring in the most sacred space they have," a woman told The Guardian in an email.

According to another attendee, the congregation sang Hallelujah loudly to drown out the music while a visiting priest went up to read the gospel.

Several older women in the congregation wept, terrified at the hijacking of the service.

Several members called the police while three others held the young man until authorities arrived. The teen, not identified because he's a minor, is charged with mischief to religious property, disturbing a religious service and breach of recognizance.
