Thanks to a crowd of fans who recognized him and began to shout his name, J. Cole was able to get into a Toronto nightclub late Saturday, July 29.
A cell phone recording that has been making rounds on the internet shows Cole standing among a bunch of patrons who it appears were blocked from entering a club. Suddenly Cole's name can be heard traveling and a chant breaks out in his favor. The hoodie clad Cole would soon play along and get to revving up those advocating on his behalf.
Eventually, the bouncer (who either didn't recognize who J. Cole was, or was simply unwilling to grant him entry over the way he was dressed) waves the rapper inside. Before disappearing into the establishment, Cole turned around and expressed his gratitude towards his Canadian supporters.
