In only three months, Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN. has gone double platinum. The project initially dropped in April 2017 and ended up being the highest-selling album of 2017 so far. The RIAA reported that the project officially went double platinum on July 10, 2017, after moving two million units in past three months. For those wondering what a “unit” is equal to these days, one unit equals one album sale. An album sale is equal to 10 track sales, which is equal to 1,500 track streams.

Previously, the album sold over 600,000 copies in the first week, and debuted at number one on the Billboard Top 200 chart, pushing Drake’s More Life out of the way.
