On Friday night, Ice Cube appeared on Real Time With Bill Maher to address the comedian's inappropriate use of the n-word.

While Maher issued an apology, rapper Ice Cube, wanted to give the host a piece of his mind.

In case you missed the segment, Cube said, "I knew you was gonna f*ck up sooner or later...I love your show, you’ve got a great show, but you’ve been buckin’ up against that line a little bit. You know, you’ve got a lot of black jokes. You know what I’m sayin’, you do.”

Although Cube accepted Maher's apology, he still wanted "to get to the root of the psyche." He elaborated, "It’s a word that has been used against us; it’s like a knife, man. And you can use it as a weapon, or you can use it as a tool. It’s been used as a weapon against us by white people, and we’re not gonna let that happen again by nobody because it’s not cool. Now, I know you heard [it], it’s in the lexicon and everybody’s talkin’, but that’s our word now. That’s our word now. And you can’t have it back. I know they’re tryin’ to get it back.”

On June 10, Kam, in turn, had a response for Ice Cube on his take about the n-word. Kam admitted, "I'm guilty of saying n**** on records and in conversations," but countered, he tries to "say it in the correct context."

He elaborated that he uses the n-word in a way that means someone who is "mentally dead," and that he even calls white people the n-word.

Although he has used the n-word, he said, "I still can’t justify it’s still cool to use it at all, especially towards black people or around white people. I’m guilty of that and I take responsibility for it, but I’m not going to try and get on no public platform and…change the meaning of it."

Kam also found it hypocritical that Ice Cube made a career off being in a group called N***** With Attitude and used the word in records, but at the same time has a problem with any of his white fans reciting the lyrics.
