An Epic Records executive has come forward to refute a story published by HipHopOverload, which implicates her as the staffer responsible for the recent sexual harassment allegations made against L.A. Reid.

Since stepping down, reports have surfaced about a pending lawsuit filed by one of Reid's former assistants, potentially factoring into why he has decided to part ways with Sony Music, after six years at the head of Epic. It is now confirmed that a letter laying out her accusations against Reid, was sent by the accuser's attorney to Sony Music's General Counsel Julie Swidler back in March. In the letter , he woman claims that Reid would regularly monitor how she dressed for work and would make inappropriate advances towards her. On one occasion, Reid allegedly requested that she lie down with him while together on a business trip.

Epic A&R Zoe Alicia was named by HipHopOverload as the party who filed the complaint. Alicia, who has long supported Reid and once referred to him as "One of my favorite people in this world, boss and mentor," took to Instagram to clear her name upon learning of the article. “Someone wrote a fake story about me,” she wrote. “Let’s be clear!”
