UFC superstar Conor McGregor was absent from the Cinco de Mayo weekend parties that brought fight fans together to watch a showdown between Canelo and Chavez Jr. on Saturday night, May 6, as he had family business to attend to. The 28-year-old Irishman and his longtime lover Dee Devlin were busy getting to know the newest member of the McGregor household.

"Dee and Junior are doing great everyone! Thank you for all the kind words," McGregor would take to Twitter to inform his following, shortly after Conor Jr. was delivered. "I am one proud and blessed Daddy," he declared.

McGregor is now expected to get back to MMA business. Fans will recall him having actually announced that he'd be taking a leave from the sport in order to be there for Dee as they saw her pregnancy term through, following his lightweight title fight in November. Whether getting back in the Octagon will draw him away from McGregor vs. Mayweather talks, or reinvigorate him towards them, is another story.
