Among the writings Aaron Hernandez was discovered to have left behind for family mourning his suicide, was one letter addressed to a male lover, authorities are reporting. And the bombshell has investigators weighing whether his bisexuality might have factored into him taking the life of Odin Lloyd four years ago and whether perhaps it had anything to do with him taking his own life earlier this week.

According to officials, a total of three notes were found in the former New England Patriots tight end's jail cell. Two of the notes were addressed to Hernandez's fiancee and his 4-year-old daughter, and the third it has now been confirmed, was made out to a man with whom he enjoyed a romantic bond dating back to their friendship in high school.

Detectives will now dig for any leads that may implicate an intention to cover up his sexuality, having to do with the Lloyd murder. Lloyd had been dating Hernandez's fiancee's sister. There is now question as to whether he had gotten close enough to Hernandez to learn of his secret.
