Mysonne continued on Troy Ave's tail, following Kendrick Lamar and TDE boss Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith's rejection of the BSB rapper's claim that they once approached him about signing to the West Coast label.

In the caption of a tweet Mys reposted, of Kendrick stating that he nor anyone in his camp have ever had a conversation with Troy, much less made him an offer, he upstages the "NuPac" rapper by calling Troy's assertion desperate. "Smh ..Really Sad..First Kendrick was a weirdo..Then you wanna be down with him so bad, you Lie about imaginary calls from him," wrote Mysonne.

Mysonne has been going in on Troy ever since the Breakfast Club interview he did on Power 105.1 got out and drew a heap of attention to his self-comparisons to Tupac, and recalling of the Irving Plaza shooting and how the aftermath has played out to the misfortune of rival/shooting suspect, Taxstone. Mys would go on to call Troy out for perpetrating the image of a gangster, then follow up his criticism with the "Discipline" diss track. Troy has since responded, posting a clip of him calling Mysonne's hood credibility into question by reading out the offenses for which he wound up doing seven years in prison for.
