Lavell Crawford landed himself in some hot water after telling VladTV that gay men should "try p***y first" before deciding they're gay. Various gay media outlets slammed Lavell for his comments, and the famed comedian apologized on Twitter for what he said.

Crawford wrote, "Look I apologize but I have right to my feelings and opinions free thought is still here but I'm sorry and that all I can do it's a shame you all using my interview as your sounding board but if I offended you it wasn't my intention you attacking me and I distinctly said I don't pick on gay people really but I'm the bad guy ok sorry gay folks you put down fat people black people or anybody you speak your mind hear you come that's the mafia but it cool I love for you as people with classifications."
