The NWA biopic Straight Outta Compton was critically acclaimed, and featured many moments about the group's rise to success. One moment that was captured in the film was when Ice Cube split from the group because of financial differences. Along with the split from the group, Ice Cube delivered what is arguably one of the most scathing diss records of all time in the form of the track "No Vaseline."
MC Ren recently told a story about seeing Ice Cube after "No Vaseline" dropped, saying, "When we got back together, really we didn't even talk about it. It wasn't like we was in a room like 'man you said this,' we just didn't talk about it. It was like yo let's just get back together and do this, and we got back together, nobody brought up the past. It's like a family argument where everybody is fighting and throwing stuff, and then the next day we all going out to kick it."
Ren went on to say that Cube's "No Vaseline" was one of his favorite diss records, but he was upset that he never got to deliver an actual response. Watch above.
