NBA king LeBron James took to his Uninterrupted media platform on Monday morning [April 10], to release a video congratulating Russell Westbrook for accomplishing what many had thought would never be duplicated, much less superseded, in surpassing Oscar Robertson for the all-time single-season triple-doubles record.

"It's just certain things that you never think you're going to see or never think that's going to be broken, and that's one of those records," James said, after amplifying the significance of Westbrook's milestone to him, as someone who idolizes Robertson. James then used Russell's success and attitude towards his passion to preach motivation for those listening, stating, "Like Russ always say, he always uses his hashtag and uses his motto: Why not? Why not him? Why not other people? Why not us? Why not all of us, man? Something that we should all live by."

Fans who tuned in to possibly witness the moment Westbrook eclipsed Robertson on Sunday night were in for a treat. Not only did he dish off his 10th and final assist while down by double-digit points with under five minutes left in the game, it also happened to be the moment that sparked a rally, led by Westbrook himself. The Thunder guard would score the rest of OKC's points en-route to a comeback he'd cap for the win, with a 35-foot buzzer beater that won him the Denver crowd.
