At a recent press conference, President Trump asked a black reporter named April Ryan if she knew the Congressional Black Caucus, and also said to her "Are they friends of yours? Set up a meeting." His words to her caused quite the controversy, not only for how dismissive they were to her, but also to the CBC who Trump has yet to meet with. Now, a report has surfaced that President Trump has met with Harvey Levin, the founder of TMZ. The meeting between Trump and Levin was not mentioned on his public schedule, but the two spent an hour speaking in the Oval Office last Wednesday. According to a White House spokesperson, Trump and Levin were discussing "future opportunities" after Trump had previously appeared on a Fox News special that Levin interviewed him for. Levin is seeking to get the President to appear on a new show called "Objectified," where celebrities speak on objects they cherish the most in their lives.

Previously Trump said that his team had been trying to set up a meeting with Representative Elijah Cummings, a high-ranking Democrat on the House Oversight Committee, as well as CBC member. The CBC fired back saying that they sent a letter to Trump and his team in January, which was met with no response.
