A Trump supporter suffered a concussion after being knocked unconscious during a protest at Portland International Airport on Sunday, January 29. Thousands upon thousands of viewers got to witness the moment Grant Chisholm, 39, went down as a video which captured the punch went viral through Monday and into Tuesday evening. "They almost killed me," Chisholm told local publication, the Oregonian, following the incident.
Chisholm had reportedly been attending a counter protest in the company of associates who identify themselves as the Bible Believers Group. As they chanted support for President Trump's executive order to temporarily restrict the travel of and ban immigrants and refugees, approximately 600 people who had been demonstrating against the order drowned them out with their own passionate protest. According to Chisholm, one of the protesters had been provoking a fight. That man would send him to the ground with a shot to the face.
Several people came to Chisholm's aid before security tended to him. He would be taken to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center where he was treated and released shortly thereafter.
