Snoop Dogg recently interviewed Demetrius Shipp Jr., the young actor who will portray 2Pac in the upcoming biopic “All Eyez On Me.” Shipp Jr. and the legendary west coast emcee shared the story about the first time he met 2Pac and how the two battled a bit on the mic.
Snoop revealed that 2Pac was his friend before he came to Death Row Records in 1996 and said the two first met at the "Poetic Justice" wrap party. It was there where they engaged in lyrical combat.
"DJ start djing. 2Pac grabbed the mic. He start rapping. I grab the mic I start rapping. But I’m rapping aggressive,” Snoop said. “At this time I’m like one of those battle rappers so I’m aggressive. So he come back and he aggressive. It sound like we kinda like battling each other.”
After the back forth ended, the two rappers ended up going outside for a smoke break. 2Pac asked Snoop Dogg if he wanted a hit of his blunt. That moment changed Snoop's life forever. "When we finish rapping we go outside. I'm like my name Snoop he like my name Pac. And he break open a blunt. And that n***a rolled a blunt with me. That's my first time ever hitting a blunt," said Snoop Dogg.
