The parties involved in putting together a celebrity boxing match between Soulja Boy and Chris Brown continued to keep the ball rolling on Thursday [January 5], with Adrien Broner confirming a date for the affair.

Broner posted to Instagram at around Noon Eastern Time with a new flyer, only one day after he legitimized speculation over a potential showdown between the quarreling artists with an advertisement that suggested the fight would likely take place in March. According to the updated flyer, it appears that all involved have pushed to get the fight in much sooner than that, leaving a three week period for Brown and Soulja Boy to get into condition.

"We pushing for this to happen asap y'all ain't trying to keep y'all waiting I promise this will be a great show," Broner wrote in the caption of the photo. "@floydmayweather decided to train @souljaboy, and I'm going to train @chrisbrownofficial."

The location of the event and who will promote it remains unclear, as Broner's advertisements suggest that About Billions Promotions will play host, while a flyer posted to Floyd's page lists Mayweather Promotions as its suitor. Broner notes that the fight, which is planned to go a 3 Round distance, will take place on Saturday [January 28].
