Neither Soulja Boy nor Chris Brown are wasting any time preparing for their celebrity boxing showdown. Within hours of Soulja Boy posting video of himself hitting the exercise machines, a recording of Chris Brown hitting the mitts began to circulate throughout social media.
Both artists have confirmed that they've entered into an agreement to meet in the ring, following days of back and forth in a dispute over Karrueche Tran that nearly resulted in violence after Soulja Boy having involved the likes of Piru Bloods into the conflict. With a number of celebrities having weighed in on the beef by midday Wednesday [January 4], 50 Cent eventually came along to encourage Floyd Mayweather to promote the fight while challenging him to a high stakes bet. Soulja Boy would later get on SnapChat to scold Fitty for underestimating him, and to gloat that in having spoken to The Money Team boss he learned Floyd was putting $1 million on him.
In the clip, Chris Brown throws hooks from various angles, while ducking counter punches coming back at him. His punches land with a thudding impact, and it is clear that his feet keep a steady balance in a comfortable stance. The video goes some ways in backing up the claims of former world champion Andre Berto, who put his money on Chris, saying that he's seen him perform in the gym on numerous occasions throughout their nearly decade-long friendship.
