Lil Wayne has not let up on his protest of Cash Money Records, lashing out against his label during a show in New Orleans on Saturday, [August 27]. The New Orleans great was delivering his second annual Lil Weezyana Fest in his native city when he hollered out "F*** Cash Money," a phrase that has become regular at his live performances since his relationship went sour with mentor/mogul Birdman.

The hometown concert was filled with surprise features, including cameos by 2 Chainz, Chris Brown, Mystikal, and Yo Gotti among others. Wayne was also sure to use his stage time to encourage social action, reminding the audience of their value when he told them: “We are black America. Black lives matter. Clothes don’t matter. Cars don’t matter. Nothing else matters because black lives matter." His acknowledgement of BLM came after he gave respects to his ex-wife's fallen brothers, Rudy and Josh Johnson.

Despite allusions to his continued hardships, both personal and business, Weezy closed the show with a testament to his artistic impact, shouting out to the crowd, “I am — I am — I am the best rapper alive!”
