In [July 2001] the world would get to know Lil' Romeo, who at the age of 11 dropped a hit debut album, one decade after his father, Master P, began his rap legacy by selling No Limit's first record from the trunk of a car. With Romeo's arrival, so too had a generation of young Hip Hop fans being assimilated into the genre's mainstream based on the back of Lil Bow Wow's first release the year prior. Soon became rap rivalry between the two.

Although nothing comparable to the Jay-Z and Nas beef that was brewing at the time, young followers of Hip Hop's child star movement certainly remember being either team Bow Wow or team Romeo. According to Romeo Miller, 26, there wasn't anything of substance to rumors of "beef," and if anything, he expressed wished he and his counterpart had taken advantage of their moment and joined forces, in an Instagram message posted on Friday, August 12. "My pops always taught me to give people their roses while they could still smell them. Just some facts about the Lil Romeo x Lil Bow Wow saga for the fans," he wrote in the caption of a photo of the stars in their youth.

"Dear young Superstar, as kids we should've worked together, we should've toured together, we should've made movies together," Romeo opened up the note, before reminiscing on the kind of camaraderie they actually enjoyed behind the scenes."What the WORLD doesn't know is that ... Once upon a time, Bow was like my big lil bro. Although we had different views, he inspired me as a kid."
