Fat Joe recently stopped by ESPN’s Highly Questionable and told the hosts a story about a time when Mike Tyson was going to help him and Big Pun fight off some aggressive bouncers at The Tunnel nightclub in New York City.

Big Pun got into a heated argument with one of the bouncers after they insisted that the over 500 pound rapper take off his shoes so that they could search him for weapons. “They start arguing. It’s only one security the other nine security is trying to calm him down. So then I turn I around and I’m like Pun just chill. Next thing you know he says something about Pun’s mom,” said Joe. The “Lean Back” rapper got caught in the arguing and a crew of about 8 bouncers joined in as well. Pun was ready to fight when an unexpected ally offered to back them in the fight. “Out of nowhere we hear this voice go ‘yo Pun, yo Joe. Let’s f these dudes up. I got your back.’ We turn around. It’s Iron Mike Tyson. With the kufi on. Fresh out of jail. It was a blessing man. Allah sent us a blessing. He’s taking his shoes off,” he said. The whole club shifted their attention to the fight, and they took things outside.

It ended off with Tyson chasing the bouncer around a car 20 times. As he was running, he was begging Fat Joe and Big Pun to call their boy off. “The bouncer’s like ‘yo Pun Fat Joe please’ tell Iron Mike.’ Nobody wanted it with Iron Mike. ‘Call him off man.’ That was an amazing [story],” said Joe.
