On this week's segment of the Vlad Couch, DJ Vlad sits down with lyrical assassin Royce Da 5'9". The "Tabernacle" emcee talks about his latest project 'Layers' and learning to be a more versatile artist. He speaks about his relationship with Eminem and being apart of a collective like Slaughterhouse, and the public's perception of super lyrical rappers.

Royce talks writing for Diddy, and how the Bad Boy mogul forced him to learn to create a flow and the importance of rewriting a verse to perfection. He also reveals ghostwriting for Dr. Dre on 'The Chronic' at just 19 years old, and he delves into the now longstanding beef between Drake and Meek Mill; and defines what it means to be a lyricist. Even saying Drake's status as a top lyricist is smeared because of his use of ghostwriters.

Royce also speaks about his battles with alcoholism and Eminem being the reason he checked into rehab. The Detroit native also criticizes Flint, MI for the water crisis, believing that Black people are used as guinea pigs in situations like this.
