Yung LA hit up fans on Instagram to let them know that he’s still alive, despite reports saying that he was murdered yesterday.

“Hey what it do. It’s the boy Yung LA. I’m right here with all my jewelry on. I’m back in effect,” he said. "Damn what the blogs talking about. I’m alive and I’m full of flavor. Full of swag man.” The rapper was responding to news that originated on poundofsound.com that cited Atlanta police claiming Yung LA was murdered over unpaid studio time on June 7th at 2am. “The information we’re getting, it’s unconfirmed, but witnesses are saying this whole thing started over LA attempting to steal studio time,” homicide detective Todd Scott allegedly told “News” on camera. The report said LA tried stealing a flash drive containing 3 songs inside the studio and cited witnesses as proof. They claimed he didn’t have money to pay for the session and engaged in an altercation with the engineer which ended with him being shot in the chest.

HipHopDX later reached out to Atlanta police who said they had not responded to any homicides during the time period the story said he was murdered in. Officials also said that there is no Todd Scott that works for the APD. Yung LA is known for his 2009 hit “Ain’t I” that he released on T.I.’s Grand hustle label.
