Just Blaze held an impromptu Q&A with fans on Twitter over the weekend where he dished on many of his past collaborators including Jay Z, Cam’ron, Kanye West, Dame Dash and Aaliyah.

Fans flooded the producer’s feed with questions about Kanye’s “Touch the Sky,” Jay Z’s “Oh Boy” verse that was allegedly erased by Cam’ron, and the relationship between him and the late Aaliyah. Just Blaze told one fan he made the beat for Kanye’s 2005 song 20 minutes before the rapper got to the studio. He also let fans know that Jay Z and Cam’ron weren’t crazy about his chorus for “Welcome to New York.” “Cam and Jay laughed me out of the booth when I was singing the hook,” he tweeted. He also dished on Jay Z’s “Oh Boy” that Cam’ron claimed was deleted. “I was there when he did it and it didn’t get erased,” he said to a fan that asked him if he ever heard the verse.

Just Blaze also revealed something previously unheard about the flight Aaliyah died on. “When she passed she was on a flight to come meet me and Freeway in Miami to do a ‘more than a woman’ remix.” The producer claims he did “backflips” after hearing Jay Z’s intro verse on “The Dynasty” and that him and Dame got into it one time over a Memphis Bleek verse. “Dame tried to take Bleek off Just Fire. First time I ever stood up to him and said no. He tried his A-hole thing with me. I swallowed my pride and let him crack jokes. Bleek was still on the record when it came out tho. He said his verse was too hard and he wanted Bleek to be the new LL. So then I played ‘I shot ya’ and he was silent,” tweeted Just Blaze.
