Bobby Shmurda and his GS9 continue to face more legal troubles, as another member of the GS9 crew, Alex “A-Rod” Crandon, was just charged with conspiracy, attempted murder, and murder. During the sentencing, Crandon reportedly asked Judge Abraham Clott to allow him “the opportunity to become a productive citizen and raise my daughter to become one also.” The judge responded by telling him, “The community must be protected given the enormity of the crimes here.” Clott also said that Crandon’s longing for another shot is “really no reason to risk the safety of the public.”

According to the NY Daily News, Crandon received 53 and 1/3 years for all of the crimes he committed. This comes after 24-year-old GS9 member Rashid “Rasha” Derissant was sentenced to 98 years in prison for murder. Bobby Shmurda is set to be tried in connection to the same conspiracy as Crandon in September 2016.
