Nia Long and her presence in the entertainment world still holds the attention of many, mainly because of her roles in movies like Love Jones, Friday, and more. The hip hop world has an infatuation with her that transcends decades at this point, from being mentioned in records like the Bravehearts’ “Oochie Wally,” A Tribe Called Quest’s “Steve Biko,” all the way to J. Cole’s track “No Role Modelz” from his previous album 2014 Forest Hills Drive.

Not one to shy away from inquiries about her, Nia Long addressed the J. Cole lyric in an interview with Larry King. When asked by King if she heard J. Cole rap the lines “My only regret was too young for Nia Long,” she responded immediately saying “He’s not too young, he just doesn’t know it.”

You have to appreciate the rapper shooting his shot and getting that response back. However, it may be too late for Cole, as he is happily married to his longtime girlfriend, Melissa Heholt.
