Bill Clinton had a heated back and forth with Black Lives Matter protesters in Philadelphia on Thursday (April 7), while defending his wife Hillary's presidential bid. The protesters were shouting at Clinton in regards to his wife's "super-predator" comment that she made in 1996 while defending a bill her husband put into action. The bill put a crack down on gangs, but it also put more non-violent offenders in prison for longer sentences, and Bill Clinton defended his actions against the protesters on Thursday.
Clinton addressed the protesters who were shouting, "black youth are not super predators," as the former president told them, "You are defending the people who killed the lives you say matter."
After repeatedly saying, "I love protesters," Clinton grew frustrated after not being able to talk over the shouting group, stating, "Here's the thing. I like protesters, but the ones that won't let you answer are afraid of the truth. That's a simple rule."
