Lupe Fiasco has always been a man about his people, and with his latest venture, he's making sure that people with ideas for community-benefiting businesses turn their thoughts into actions.

Co-founded by Lupe and Di-Ann Eisnor, the Neighborhood Start Fund is a nonprofit organization designed to aid entrepreneurs from specific neighborhoods with their respective business. "We need more diverse entrepreneurs bringing fresh ideas and new innovations to life," reads a statement from the site. "So, we've created a neighborhood-specific fund to support entrepreneurs and start-ups from undeserved areas and of course so the best new ideas won't go wasted. We provide access, network, workshops, mentoring and of course funding."

Lupe announced the news on his Twitter this week, advising people to read up on the details for their upcoming event. Their idea competition is currently underway and "the first live pitch event will be November 13, 2015."

Their first neighborhood? Brownsville, Brooklyn.
