Fetty Wap has released a statement through Twitter regarding the claims of alleged assault in a local supermarket in Paramus, New Jersey.

The "1738" rapper revealed no charges have been filed against him in the case. He also admitted he was at the Shoprite at the time of the brawl, but in no way was involved. "Fights happen every day in Jersey, nothing new," he tweeted.

Paramus Police echoed the rapper's statements on Friday, telling reporters that the employee who initially claimed he was roughed up by the rapper and his crew. "Our investigation is complete," Paramus Police Chief Kenneth Ehrenberg said. "None of the parties wished to press charges."

The fight began when a woman slapped the employee while he was working at the checkout line on July 10. Three men got involved after believing the employee insulted the woman. The employee had swelling on the his face, but was not hospitalized.
