Lil Scrappy, sat down and read from the pages of Scarface's memoir, 'Diary of a Madman: The Geto Boys, Life, Death, and the Roots of Southern Rap,' (Amazon) for DJ Smallz. The Atlanta rapper then shared his thoughts on 'Face's inherent strength which allowed him to grow and progress from the time where he was confined to a psychiatric hospital.
When speaking on the Houston legend's compromised mental state, The Prince of the South, showed empathy and related to Scarface's plight of being alone and said, "I've done been in some situations where, you know, your mama and dad ain't there and you gotta deal with that and it is what it is."
As the discussion delved deeper, Scrappy offered that challenges present opportunities to grow, and shared his belief that blessings are sometimes birthed from momentarily negative situations. He stated, "From the negative, you can get a positive."
