Jon Jones was recently arrested for a felony hit and run in Albuquerque, New Mexico after slamming into a pregnant woman's car, breaking her arm on Sunday morning.

Now, UFC head honcho Dana White spoke to Fox Sports One about the situation, and revealed that Jones' light heavyweight title was being stripped. He's also being suspended indefinitely from the UFC.

The UFC followed up with a statement reading, "As a result of the charge and other violations of the Athlete Code of Conduct Policy, the organization believes it is best to allow Jones time to focus on his pending legal matters. While there is disappointment in the recent charges, the organization remains supportive of Jones as he works through the legal process."

Amid all the drama surrounding the athlete, Jones took to Twitter to speak on the matter and apologize for upsetting fans, "Got a lot of soul searching to do. Sorry to everyone I've let down," he tweeted.
