Even with Lil Wayne saying "F**k Cash Money" recently, the "Believe Me" rapper may have just given up his legal fight against the label, as The Jasmine Brand is reporting that Weezy just dropped his $51 million lawsuit against Baby and Cash Money.
The rapper filed the lawsuit back in January, soon after he aired out Birdman and Cash Money online for not releasing his album, Tha Carter 5. The lawsuit claimed Cash Money breached their contract by not paying him what they owed, and also sought damages from them for refusing to drop the album. Wayne also claims he's the rightful owner of all copyrights related to Drake, Nicki Minaj and certain other YMCMB artists.
According to The Jasmine Brand, sources close to Wayne said he would be willing to drop the suit if he was paid the $8 million advance he was owed when recording the album that has yet to see the light of day. He also claims he was owed an additional $2 million upon the album's completion.
While there is no word if Birdman met these demands, or if Lil Wayne simply had a change of heart, yesterday (4/6) Weezy filed documents voluntarily dismissing the case "without prejudice," meaning he can re-file later if things aren't resolved. At this point, however, it looks like Wayne will handle things one-on-one and not in front of a judge.
