Rising Canadian rapper Shel-B spoke with VladTV about her career thus far. Being that she is a White female rapper, she understands how hard it may be for her to gain respect and recognition in the music industry; however, she believes that hopefully no other woman will have it quite as bad as Iggy Azalea.
She broke down her past, having been locked up for a month while pregnant with her first child, and how that situation helped her grow. Shel also detailed her past working for a Canadian radio station, back when Drake was still only known for his TV work on "Degrassi." She's been involved with Hip-Hop for 15 years, and hopes that people will take her seriously and give her music a real shot.
Shel-B has a new mixtape out titled "Pulling Me Back," and she's also working on her own biopic to chronicle her life story. On the Battle Rap side of things, Shel-B has plans of starting her own female battle league out in Toronto, to hopefully shed some light on the female lyrical talent from that area.
