On Sunday, June 22nd, Bow Wow announced to the world that he will no longer be going by that name that he has grown with for over a decade now.
Since he first emerged onto the music scene, Bow Wow became a quick sensation who was loved by many young audiences on an international scale. Due to his age at the time, he went by "Lil Bow Wow," but as time passed and he grew more into his manhood, he decided to drop the "Lil" and just be known as "Bow Wow." However, it appears he's matured past being known as "Bow Wow" entirely, and now he would like the world to know and refer to him as Shad Moss.
This is not just another entertainment name -- Shad Moss is his birth name for those who didn't know. He posted an official message on one of his Instagram videos explaining his reasoning for the change.
"ANNOUNCEMENT: After BET awards i will no longer go by Bow Wow! Im going by my real name "Shad Moss" we made alot of history as bow wow. Now its time for the next chapter and challenge. Bow wow does not fit who i am today. Ima father, business man, TV host, Actor, and rapper! Time for MR Moss to take over!"
