When Virginia resident Ciara Logan posted a picture of her 8-year-old son and twin daughters on Instagram she had no idea that her family picture would become a "The Color Purple" meme that has been making its rounds on Instagram for the past couple of days.

Suggesting that her son is the character "Harpo" from the classic movie starring Oprah Winfrey and Whoopi Goldberg, the caption on the meme reads, "Harpo just won't let them girls be".

According to Bossip.com, Logan is taking this experience as a lesson learned when sharing pictures of her children on social media sites. Logan told a CBS 6 reporter that she was very surprised to see her children depicted in this way and hopes that other parents will learn from this when posting pictures of their children.

Here's some more of what Logan had to say to CBS 6 senior reporter Wayne Covil:

"To insinuate that my son is a pimp — or that my son is selling cars — because he has on a suit and he has two little girls with him — or to hashtag, "keep him away from those girls," as if to say my son is a predator," she said. "He's an eight-year-old boy who is very caring, very loving, very nourishing, very protective of his sisters."
