Beyonce nabbed the top spot on Time's top 100 "Most Influential People" of 2014. This marks the second year in a row she made the list, drawing praise from writer Sheryl Sandberg, who wrote, "In December, she took the world by surprise when she released a new album, complete with videos, and announced it on Facebook and Instagram. Beyoncé shattered music-industry rules — and sales records."

Sandberg also applauded the Houston-born singer for being a strong voice for women, both on stage and off, like with the "Ban Bossy" campaign, where Beyonce states, "I'm not bossy, I am the boss."

Others named on the list include Justin Timberlake, Pope Francis, Hillary Clinton, NBA player Jason Collins, Vladimir Putin, Carrie Underwood, Steve McQueen, Seth Meyers, Kerry Washington, Cristiano Ronaldo, and NFL Super Bowl Champion Richard Sherman.
