Angel Haze's decision to leak her debut album, Dirty Gold, forcing her label Island/Republic Records to release it ahead of schedule backfired badly, as the numbers have come in showing her total album sales are beyond what anyone would've expected. She released it on December 30th, amid other album releases from big names such as R. Kelly, Beyonce and others, and it appears as though fans overlooked Haze's work almost entirely.
According to reports coming from Revolt TV, she has sold only 857 copies in the U.K. thus far, despite having a significant fanbase out there as she has performed in London among other places. According to Billboard, Angel's newest album has sold only 1,115 copies in total, with only 187 moving on the first day it was available for purchase.
She has since taken to Twitter commenting about her album and obviously the backlash she's receiving for the low sales. Check out her tweets above regarding her low numbers.
