The Ciroc Amaretto Launch Party/VMA afterparty went down Sunday night at Ph-D in NYC, and rumors have been swirling that Diddy and J. Cole got into a scuffle at the shindig. Now, more details on the altercation have come to light.

Multiple sources told Complex that a visibly intoxicated Diddy attempted to confront Kendrick Lamar over crowning himself the "King of New York" in his "Control" verse. The sources say Diddy allegedly attempted to pour a drink on Kendrick, but J. Cole intervened. The two started arguing, and at one point Cole allegedly put his hands on Diddy, which naturally didn't sit well with their respective entourages. After a brief scuffle, the crews separated.

Ibrahim Hamad, a friend of Cole's, shut down the fight rumors on Twitter yesterday saying that Cole did not get ejected from the party, and "damn sure ain't get beat up."

Complex reached out to reps for all three rappers. However, none of them would confirm or deny anything.
