Five people have been officially indicted for the June 2012 murder of rapper Lil Phat. The five suspects endured a bond hearing recently, in which more information on the case was presented.

Prosecutors are alleging that Phat was killed over 10 pounds of marijuana he stole from San Francisco State University point guard Decensae White and possible gang affiliate Gary "El Dorado Red" Bradford.

Those two allegedly hired fellow "Bang Get Money" gang member Deandre Washington and getaway driver Maurice Conner to kill Phat for $10,000. The story goes that Washington and Conner were able to locate Phat in the hospital by tracking the GPS in the victim's car. The coordinates of the car were allegedly given to them by ex-member of the Russian mafia Mani Chulpayev who rented the car to Lil Phat.

Of course, each person is claiming his innocence and sharing the reasons why. Chulpayev says he has nothing to do with it and offered to take a lie detector test. San Fran State point guard Decensae White also denies his involvement, and provided a letter from his coach calling him a "model citizen."

Bradford's lawyers say he isn't associated with the "Bang Get Money" gang and even claim their client is autistic.

As of now, White is out on bond, while Chulpayev, Bradford, Washington, and Conner all remain in jail.
