Talib Kweli was profiled on CNN recently, and spoke about his career and how success in hip-hop doesn't require talent. He's always been known as a conscious rapper, and his music has never received the same level of publicity as other more mainstream artists. In his eyes, talent isn't necessary to reach fame in hip-hop.
"It's not really a talent-based game right now. No one takes a gamble. In order for you to have music, you have to be a hustler."
What do you think of Kweli's statement?
