Lil Kim filed suit for $1 million against a lawyer and businessman who she claims tricked her into signing several bad licensing agreements.
38-year-old Kim says Sunny Barkats duped her into agreeing to transactions that gave himself and his partner, Andrew Ro, a 44% stake in a corporation formed to license her brand names. Lil Kim says she eventually discovered the shady dealings in December 2012, but Barkats refused to reimburse her.
Barkats is calling the lawsuit a "frivolous" attempt for her to back out of her contracts.
