Legendary wrestling manager Paul Bearer, real name William "Bill" Moody, passed away at the age of 58 on Tuesday.

Moody made his first appearance on the WWE in 1991 as the Undertaker's manager while moonlighting as a funeral director. He later played the role of manager for Kane, Rick Rude, Vader and Mankind.

The WWE released a statement concerning the sad news, "WWE is saddened to learn of the passing of William Moody, aka Paul Bearer."

They added, "Moody made his WWE debut in 1991 as the manager of The Undertaker and went on to become a memorable part of WWE over the course of the next 20 years. Our deepest condolences go out to Moody's family, friends and fans."

Details surrounding his death are still unclear, but he reportedly suffered from a blood clot, according to "Cowboy" Bob Kelly, who saw Moody on March 2nd at a meeting for the wrestling society Cauliflower Alley Club. TMZ talked to Kelly, who revealed Moody was diagnosed shortly after the meeting.
