Most don't think of Oprah as a cutthroat businesswoman, but that's what one of her former OWN employees is alleging in a new lawsuit. The woman, Carolyn Hommel, is claiming Oprah fired her after she got pregnant, despite the fact that she was in the running for the VP position before her pregnancy.

Hommel was hired in 2010 as the senior director of scheduling and acquisitions at Oprah's OWN network, and had reportedly been successful with her job. Hommel believes things went haywire after her pregnancy was revealed, since she began to have her duties transferred and time cut. When she returned from medical leave, she wasn't permitted inside meetings. Hommel alleges she was let go one month after giving birth.

It's not yet clear how much the lawsuit was for.
