Meek Mill and Cassidy have been going at one another on Twitter and on record over the past few weeks, and their feud has continued to grow. Roc Nation producer Jahlil Beats, who created Meek's diss to Cassidy titled "Repo", recently spoke about producing the record. He also revealed that he and Cass were actually set to work together but never got around to it due to competition from Meek.

"It's kinda crazy because 13, 14 weeks ago, [Meek and I] were at the 40/40 and everything was cool," he recalled. "Actually, that was my first time ever meeting Cass, he was showing major love. We were actually supposed to work on some stuff, but it's all a competitive thing.

The producer then spoke about the actual beef between Meek and Cass, saying Hip Hop is benefiting from it.

"I feel like it's a good thing for Hip Hop, whether Cass is fine [with it] or not. But you know, Cass threw the first two jabs on wax, then Meek dropped his bomb. It's good for Hip Hop at the end of the day, and I hope it doesn't go past staying on wax."

Jahlil Beats also confirmed that he and Roc Nation front man Jay-Z are working on new material, and revealed that Jay is indeed working on "Watch The Throne" 2.

"I'm actually working with Jay right now," he said. "I can't really say what [the collaboration is for], but...I don't even know, honestly. It could land on Watch the Throne 2 - I know he's working on that, though."
