The ongoing custody battle between Deion and Pilar Sanders is looking like it will spill over into 2013 unfortunately. Pilar lost the most recent legal fight for her children but is insistent on continuing to fight for the custody of their two children and she feels as though Deion's "celebrity status" is what is giving him the upper hand.
She took a hit at their recent Dallas court hearing, in which Pilar lost her temporary custody rights of her two young boys and also got her child support payments reduced from $10,500 to $5,500 a month. Her publicist, Kali Bowyer, released the following statement on Pilar's legal struggles going against Deion:
"Pilar has become a victim of Deion's celebrity status, which has swayed the courts and blinded justice . . . It has become evident at this point that there is an absolute prejudice against Pilar, and this has become a completely one-sided court circus."
Pilar also expressed her own sorrows in losing the custody battle.
"I am sad that Deion has been able to keep my boys away from me since Oct. 26 — no Halloween, no Thanksgiving — and now he is threatening to keep them away from me for Christmas. . . . He is using our innocent children as a pawn in this ugly, ugly divorce."
