Atlanta emcee Young Jeezy is taking his CTE World imprint to the big leagues, joining forces with Atlantic to become CTE World/Atlantic Records. Jeezy will be heading up the new venture alongside Atlantic chairman Craig Kallman. Atlantic is no doubt confident in the rapper's accolades, as they appointed him the position of Senior Vice President of A&R over the summer.

When asked about the recent departure of Freddie Gibbs from CTE, Jeezy had this to say: "Freddie is a talented artist and I decided that it's time to press reset on my career and business ventures. I have no doubt that Freddie will go on to be everything I believe he can be, and I wish him the best in his career."

What do you think about the new label partnership?
