Rap veteran Nas had one of the more popular hip hop albums of 2012 with his 11th studio LP "Life Is Good". Now the Queensbridge rapper is taking it back to 1994 and refocusing on his first album "Illmatic", which has been regarded as a classic project. He has partnered with Get On Down to re-release a specially-packaged edition of the album to be released in two sets.

A vinyl set is to be released as well as a larger CD bundle featuring a lot more material. The CD set includes a 24k gold CD with remastered audio and is placed in a Cherrywood Trophy Box. A 48-page hard cover book has been created and it features extended artwork and full album lyrics. A reproduction of the album's press release, along with a promotional poster displaying full lyrics on the back, finishes off that set.

The vinyl portion of the special edition includes the same features as the CD set. Check out photos of the "Illmatic" deluxe above and let us know if you're planning to scoop a set.
