Jay-Z has come a long way to be the mega-star that he is now, but while some stars burn out, it seems like Hov is only getting brighter. The Jigga man's most recent endeavor involves the new remake of F. Scott Fitzgerald's 1925 book "The Great Gatsby."

Jay has been chosen as musical supervisor for the movie which stars Leonardo DiCaprio, which means he will provide his own music and the music of his contemporaries for the soundtrack. Director Baz Luhrmann wants the movie set to modern music instead of 1920s music, just as he did with his 1996 Romeo + Juliet, which also starred DiCaprio.

It'll be exciting to see what direction Hov goes with the Gatsby soundtrack.
