This past weekend, the NFL and sports world in general was rocked when Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher fatally shot his girlfriend Kasandra Perkins then pulled the gun on himself at the team's practice facility. He thanked his head coach and the organization's general manager for giving him the opportunity to play professionally right before he took his life in front of them.

There has been much speculation as to why Belcher committed these horrific acts, and it's been rumored that his girlfriend began seeing R&B singer Trey Songz after she attended one of his after-parties. But Trey insists that he didn't play any type of role in the matter and took to Twitter to briefly clear things up.

"I don't delete tweets, nor am I insensitive to death. I had no knowledge of the murder/suicide incident until now & even still...," Trey tweeted. "As sad as it may be, it has nothing to do with me. Sending prayers up to the families and friends of the people involved," he concluded.

It was also speculated that Jovan was suffering from multiple concussions and the associated symptoms, but a heated argument with his girlfriend seems to be the more logical reason for his actions.
