It was reported earlier in the week that Kevin Clash, the voice of Sesame Street character Elmo, was accused of having a sexual relationship with an under-aged teenage boy 7 years ago. Now the accuser, who is now 23 years of age, has recanted those initial accusations of being under-aged. He now claims that during the time of the alleged sexual relationship, he was indeed an adult.
The accuser's attorney made a brief statement recently on behalf of his client.
"[The accuser] wants it to be known that his sexual relationship with Mr. Clash was an adult consensual relationship. [The accuser] will have no further comment."
According to TMZ, the accuser's attorney and Kevin Clash himself had a meeting to discuss a potential financial settlement. Sources say a settlement in the six-figure range was discussed during their sit down together.
